The Buddies have overcome rivals Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts and St Johnstone for the Scottish internationalists signature after the striker completed a medical on Monday.
The Paisley side have pushed their budget to land Brophy who is close to completing his pre-contract agreement with the club. Brophy will make the switch in the summer despite interest from both Scotland and England.
The Scottish striker netted 10 times last season and has scored three times in the 2020 campaign. Since his move to Kilmarnock in 2017, Brophy has become a valuable asset scoring on 29 occasions.
The move to St Mirren will be frustrating to Hamilton who would've been set to land a substantial sell on fee if Brophy was sold before his contract was up..
St Mirren currently sit above Kilmarnock in 7th place with two games in hand. Kilmarnock will be at home to Hamilton this weekend while St Mirren will host relegation contenders Motherwell.
