Hibernian have confirmed the signing of Ex-Celtic and Ross County Youngster, Jackson Irvine, following his release from Hull City back in the summer. He will aim to help Jack Ross' side in the second half of the season as they aim to beat Aberdeen in the battle for third place, going straight into this weekend's squad to face former club Kilmarnock. The 27-year-old came through the ranks at Celtic after making the move from Australia. He only ever played once for the senior side, he spent time on loan at Kilmarnock and Ross County, before making the permanent switch to Ross County. Hibs confirmed the news of Irvine's deal in a statement on their website today with Jack Ross saying, "We're delighted to add a player of Jackson's calibre to the squad and I think he'll compliment the other players we have. "Jackson has played at a high level as an international. He can go box-to-box and offer a goal threat, he's also hungry to play". "He joins us at an exciting time with some big games coming up." The Midfielder becomes Hibernian's second signing of the window, following Goalkeeper, Matt Macey from Arsenal.
