Hamilton Season Preview

◦ Accies are set for a 7th consecutive season in the top flight of Scottish football with their current run in the top flight lasting longer than the likes of Rangers, Hibs, Ross County, St Mirren, Dundee United, Livingston and hearts before their relegation in the 2019/20 season however all odds are stacked against Brian Rice and his players as they have lost star players like Alex Gogic, Mickel Miller, and Aaron McGowan to name a few. Also due to covid cutbacks the club had to release some other fringe players and a host of youth players which has led to them not having a reserve team after winning the reserve league last season however they have still been able to make a good few signings adding Callum Smith, Ross Callachan, Charlie Trafford, Tunde Owolabi, Hakeem Odoffin and Justin Johnson to their ranks looking at the accies squad one thing it lacks is experience with there oldest players Brian Easton and David Templeton being there only real forms of experience but they do have some quality players like David Templeton Scott Martin Lewis Smith and Marios Ogkmpoe to name a few they also have some great young players like Andy Winter, Jamie Hamilton, Shaun Want and Kyle Munro all of whom are expected to break into the first team this season having only played a handful last year and Kyle Munro yet to make an appearance in my opinion accies strongest line-up would be a 442 with Ryan Fulton in goals Hakeem Odoffin at right back Brian Easton and Shaun Want centre backs with Scott McMann left back on the wings I would have David Templeton and Lewis Smith David Templeton is someone who will really have to step up to the plate and stay fit to help accies this season in the centre of the midfield I would have Scott Martin and Ross Callachan who I would also rotate with Will Collar and Charlie Trafford then upfront I would have Zimbabwean target man David Moyo and last seasons top goal scorer at Hamilton Marios Ogkmpompoe.
