Aberdeen academy graduate, Scott Wright, is set to leave 'The Dons' as contract talks stall.
McInnes has admitted the Winger could be on his way out in the summer.
The club had been keen to keep the forward after his stand-out performances in the Scottish Premiership so far this season. Despite months of talks between the club and player, told the Evening Express he expects the star man to move on having been unable to reach an agreement.
The Dons boss told the Evening Express, "It looks as if Scott is looking at trying something different, maybe looking down south unfortunately".
"From our point of view, we are really keen for Scott to stay, but he just wants to keep his options open at the moment".
This extremely damages Aberdeen's intent to make profit off of youth talent, unless they were to cash in now rather than the Winger leaving at the end of his contract.
As for coming in Aberdeen have been linked with Ross County's, Ross Stewart, Dunfermline's Euan Murray and a return for Gary Mackay Steven following his New York release.
